Close a month so its numbers stop moving.
Once a month is reported, close it. Sales, re-projection, target edits and orders for that month are kept out until someone reopens it with a reason.
| Month | State | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-09 | Closed | |
| 2026-08 | Closed |
Reopening keeps the original close on record rather than erasing it, so the full history stays auditable. Every close and reopen is written to the audit trail.
A closed month is a promise.
Closing a month tells everyone the figures they were measured on are final. After that, new sales for that month are rejected, and re-projection, target edits and new orders for it are refused.
Every month is open until someone closes it, so nothing changes for a new account until an admin acts.
Reopening leaves a trail.
A month can be reopened, but only with a written reason. The original close is kept, with who closed it and when, alongside who reopened it and why. Both are written to the audit trail in the same step as the change.
Incentives wait for it.
An incentive period cannot be frozen while any of its months is still open, and runs on open months are marked provisional. Closing the month is what makes a payout final.

Settlement and payroll
Freeze the numbers, record who approved them, publish to earners, then export the payroll file. Corrections are disclosed, never quietly edited.
