One price list per distributor, on every phone.

Versioned price lists per distributor, downloaded to the rep's phone so orders price correctly offline. A published version never changes.

With an account default as fallback

The right list for the distributor in front of you.

Each distributor can buy on its own price list, and the account sets a default for the rest. The list carries the unit price, the order unit and its pack factor, and optional minimum order and pack multiple for every product.

Orders are priced against the version that is current and in effect on the day. A list with nothing published, or a version outside its effective dates, is refused rather than allowed to price an order at zero.

Cached on the phone, kept current cheaply.

A published version is immutable, so a phone that holds version 7 never needs to ask about version 7 again. It only checks whether a newer version exists, and the download carries a content hash so an unchanged list is confirmed in a moment instead of downloaded again.

Drafts are never sent to a phone. A rep can only quote a price somebody published.

When the phone is behind, the rep is told.

If a rep booked against an older cached version, the server reprices the order and the card on "My orders" shows what the rep quoted, what the system holds, and the list and version the phone used. The difference is explained, never silently swapped.

Questions people ask.

Can different distributors have different prices?
Yes. A distributor can be assigned its own price list; any distributor without one uses the account's default list.
What happens when we publish a new price?
A new version is published and phones download it on their next sync. Earlier versions stay as they were, so past orders still show the version they were priced on.
Can a rep see a draft price?
Phones receive published versions only, so a rep always quotes a price somebody published.
Can we see which price list an order was priced against?
Yes. Every order keeps the list and version it was priced on. When the phone was behind, the order card shows what the rep quoted, what the system holds and the version the phone used.

Works well with.
